Throw Back Thursday!

This week, it was finally time to take down the Christmas Quilt that was hanging in the front hallway. Normally, I put up either a seasonal quilt or a green and brown batik that matches the colors in that room well.

A few weeks ago, I was looking at some quilts I have stored in the guest room, and realized that our wedding quilt has never been displayed, and we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last summer, so it was time!

Our quilt was also our guestbook, so I had some fun reading some of the comments on the quilt and wishes from friends and family.

It was interesting to realize how many changes have happened in the past ten years. Sadly, two of the family members who signed it are no longer with us (RIP, Dad and Sister-in-Law!) and three of the friend couples who signed the quilt are no longer married (RIP to those families!). And quite a few of the people who celebrated with us have moved on - new careers, new names, new babies, and big moves. So it's a happy snapshot from a time in life that won't come our way again!

It's also a lovely spot of spring on a wet and dreary January day.

Thanks for stopping by!
