It wouldn't be January with out the Saint Paul Winter Carnival... and for me, it wouldn't be the winter carnival without the Orchid Show (and sale) at the Como Park Conservatory.

This year, the show was super crowded, despite the need to sign up for an entry time. We arrived early (10:15 am on Sunday) and managed to grab a good parking spot. And then spent the next 2 hours in one single-file line after another. The orchid displays were on tables crammed into corners in the main conservatory pathways, and it felt pretty disorganized, overall.
But spending time in the moist indoor gardens, on a bitterly cold January morning, was worth the long lines and crazy crowds! Here are some of my favorite photos.
The sale portion, this year, was less than overwhelming. Maybe 3-4 vendors, not much merchandise, and definitely not worth more than a moment or two. But after several years of new show, it was really lovely to be back!
Thanks for stopping by!
