The Bossa Nova Pineapple Quilt: The completed top

Here it is, the final quilt top!

While I love this one, it was a challenge. I made a pretty big error earlier in the day and three of the rows had to be seam ripped (unsewn) which is really not as easy as it sounds. This quilt is sewn on the bias, so it's stretch, and has lots of sewn points and small pieces and very fragile seams.

So I took over an hour to remove the stitching. Ironed it with a ton of best press to stiffen it, and then finally resewed it. The photo above is the final quilt This was the mistake:

(the fourth and fifth rows are flipped and needed to be moved). But it's done!!!

This redeems my earlier pineapple failure, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!
