On a whim, we decided to plant a coupe of pumpkins on the edge of our raised beds... and that's where it all went wrong.
It's now September, and the pumpkins have totally taken over the entire back yard!
Yes, there is a raised bed under there, full of full-grown tomatoes. But you can't see them, because of the overly aggressive Jack B Good little pumpkins. And the bigger pumpkins have even taken over the cattle panel, and are growing a pumpkin on top of the tomatoes!
The carrots are finally getting to a decent size, too, so I harvested a bunch today, as well as picking up some of the ripe tomatoes. And there is another bell pepper that's early ready for picking.
My favorite, though, is this volunteer cherry tomato, that grew from an over ripe, dropped tomato early in the season. It's even bearing fruit now!
