Is there a Lake Beyond that Fog?

Every time we drive up to the North Shore of Minnesota (along Lake Superior), we hit a dense and mysterious wall of fog about 5-10 miles before we get to Duluth, and our Memorial Day trip in 2022 was no exception.

While weather in the Metro area was in the upper 80's and 90's all weekend, it was rainy, foggy, and chilly up north. Temps hovered in the mid 50's, and the wind was strong.

This was our first trip to spend any real time in Duluth, and we really enjoyed getting to see

the town better, and getting to explore canal park, seeing (through the fog, of course) the Duluth harbor lighthouses, and watching a boat come through the aerial bridge.

We especially enjoyed a trip to Tischer's Gallery and seeing some of Ryan's photography. We also found a great spot for a warm cup of coffee and a chance to warm up before braving the winds again.

We also discovered that the Duluth Harbor has live cameras and recordings posted on youtube, so we can return to watch the big boats go through from home, whenever we want!

Thanks for stopping by!
