And moving into the blues! Here is Block #4. The colors are really starting to pop, and we are 2/3 done!

I decided against cutting all the black strips for all the color ways at once, and I think that was the right call. I feared it might be a bit more tedious to have to do it again with each set, but instead it gives you the chance to figure out what works best and new tricks (and not repeat a mistake all the way through).
When I cut all the pieces out, up front, I find that kind of "manufacturing" level cutting and slowing really boring!
I am really trying to sew all the color ways into the rows, after each block... and it's giving me a fun chance to see the quilt as we go (though I haven't always been great at photographing each stage).
I'm definitely finding this black fabric to be very linty. My machine is dirty, and I had to run out and buy another can of compressed air to try to blow off/out all that extra lint!
